Coaching

Grounded in decades of professional practice as dancers, choreographers, and movement specialists, we offer coaching and guidance across the full range of a mover’s creative and physical life — from finding your artistic voice to building a body that sustains it.

Sessions are available in person (NYC area) and online.

  • For artists developing their voice, their vision, and their work

Whether you’re making your first piece or deepening an established practice, having a skilled and thoughtful set of eyes on your process can change everything. With decades of professional experience as performers, choreographers, and company directors, we work with emerging and mid-career artists who are developing their own movement language, building a body of work, or trying to give form to something they can feel but haven’t yet figured out how to make.

    This work may include:

    • Mentorship through the choreographic process, from initial impulse to finished work

    • Developing a distinct movement vocabulary and artistic identity

    • Structural and compositional feedback on works-in-progress

    • Support in connecting concept, movement, and intention

    • Navigation of the practical realities of independent dance-making: producing, presenting, and sustaining a practice

    • Reflection and conversation for artists at pivotal or uncertain moments in their careers

    • Available in person or online.

  • Support beyond workouts

Wellness coaching offers space to step back and look at the bigger picture: how movement, rest, work, and daily habits intersect. These sessions are conversational and reflective, with practical guidance tailored to your goals and circumstances.

    This work may include:

    • Goal setting and accountability

    • Building sustainable routines

    • Navigating periods of stress or transition

    • Integrating movement into a full and demanding life

    • Reconnecting to motivation and clarity

    Available in person or online.

  • Personal training with intelligence and intention

One-on-one training focused on building strength, stability, and confidence while respecting your body’s history, needs, and goals. Programs are customized rather than templated, and prioritize quality of movement over intensity for its own sake.

    This work may include:

    • Strength and resistance training

    • Functional movement and alignment

    • Joint stability and core support

    • Cross-training for active adults and movers

    • Progressive programs tailored to your schedule and capacity

    Available in person or online.

  • Supportive practices for balance, resilience, and recovery

Yoga and mobility sessions designed to complement strength training and daily life. These sessions emphasize awareness, breath, and sustainable range of motion — supporting both physical health and nervous system regulation.

    This work may include:

    • Yoga for strength, mobility, or recovery

    • Targeted mobility and flexibility work

    • Breath-focused movement practices

    • Restorative or down-regulating sessions

    • Support for stress reduction and recovery

    Available in person or online.

  • Thoughtful guidance for moving well over time

These sessions focus on identifying patterns that contribute to discomfort, pain, or recurring injury, and developing strategies to support long-term health. This work is especially valuable for those with active lifestyles or past injuries who want to keep moving with confidence.

    This work may include:

    • Injury-prevention strategies

    • Support during return-to-movement phases

    • Load management and pacing

    • Movement modifications and alternatives

    • Coordination with medical professionals when appropriate

(This service is not physical therapy or medical treatment.)

Our Approach

We work with those who value:

  • Customization over one-size-fits-all programs

  • Awareness, curiosity, and sustainability

  • Long-term well-being rather than quick fixes

Our approach is informed by years of experience as movement practitioners and artists, and shaped by the belief that intelligent training should support your life, not compete with it.
